Why should I give something away for free? Click here
In a word, to get free promotion and attract more customers to your business; and also, perhaps, to attract a more cosmopolitan class of clientele. The costs involved in offering a discount or a free gift will be more than offset by the long-term benefits to your business of being promoted by us as a Club Costa Associate.
How much does it cost to become a Club Costa Associate? Click here
Nothing. There is no membership fee, and no costs of any kind involved in becoming a Club Costa Associate.
How much does the Club Costa card cost? Click here
The card is issued free to approved applicants.
What can I offer apart from a price discount? Click here
Your offer to our members can take any form. A cash discount on goods purchased is the most common offer, but there are a number of other options that you should consider. Offering a free gift - for example a free drink, a free lesson, free membership to your club, etc - is one alternative. Another is to offer our card holders priority treatment of some kind (for example "VIP" membership exempting them from having to queue to enter a busy venue). The kind of offer you can make will obviously depend on the nature of your business. We assess (and approve or reject) each offer on its merits.
My business is online - can I become an Associate? Click here
Absolutely. And you can also become a member of our Club Costa Associate Webring, which will bring additional traffic (prospective customers) to your website. Participating websites are required to display the Club Costa logo on their main (index) page.
How many members do you have? Click here
To date we have issued .... membership cards. However, our network is still new and growing at a rapid rate.
Why no "limited time" offers? Click here
Because this would lead to abuse of the program, tempting some short-sighted companies to become Associates solely in order to take short-term advantage of the free publicity and promotion across our network, and then opting out before our members had time to take advantage of their "limited time" offer. We want to encourage long-term, reliable partners who are prepared to invest in their own long-term success and in the long-term success of the program. However, Associates can offer seasonal or limited time offers in addition to their standing offer.
Do I need to display a sign? Click here
If you run a street-front business premises such as a shop, a restaurant, a bar, a nightclub etc., you must agree to display the Club Costa Associate logo where it can be seen by our members (normally were your credit card acceptance notices are displayed). A range of small signs and stickers are available, the smallest being little bigger than a postage stamp. If your business is online, you must agree to display the Club Costa Associate logo on the index page of your website. There are several to choose from here.
Can I become a Club Costa member and apply for the card if I am an Associate? Click here
Absolutely, and in the future we hope to organise events exclusively for our Associates.
Do I need to sign a contract? Click here
No, and you are free to withdraw from the program any time you wish. We do, however, require Associates to sign a non-contractual form outlining the terms of their offer to our members. This is merely to avoid misunderstandings as to what exactly is being offered.
Can I opt out? Click here
You can opt out any time you wish, but in this case we request that you give us at least 14 days notice of your intention to withdraw from the program to allow us time to remove your details from our websites and promotional literature.
Member demographics? Click here
Our network is still too new for us to be able to provide detailed demographics; however, we are able to say at this point that the majority of our members are socially active young professionals in the 20-35 age group, with an above average disposable income.
I am an event organiser - can I invite Club Costa members to one of my events? Click here
Yes, if you can prove to our satisfaction that it is a properly organised event that would be of interest to our members, and if you are prepared to offer our members special terms (for example, free or reduced admission, priority booking or some other exclusive offer). Your publicity and promotional material would have to include the Club Costa logo and state that the event is being organised by you "in association with Club Costa".
